Sugared Cranberries

SUGARED CRANBERRIES

INGREDIENTS
- 3 cups fresh cranberries
- 1 1/2 cups cane sugar
- 1/2 cup water

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Combine the water and 1/2 cup sugar in a saucepan. Cook over medium-high until the sugar dissolves and the mixture comes to a simmer around the edges. Cool to room temperature.

2. Once the syrup has cooled, add the cranberries and stir to coat. Use a slotted spoon to remove the cranberries from pan, and then place them on a cooling rack set over a sheet pan to drain. Allow berries to dry for 45 minutes.

3. Pour the remaining cup of sugar into a shallow dish and roll the cranberries, a few at a time, in the sugar until completely coated. Let them dry completely then store in an airtight container room temperature for up to 3 days
